Custom Bikes

Santa Cruz has a lot of great bike stores so it might be easy to overlook this small, personal shop. Due to a disease, I had lost some function in my right hand and arm. I was having trouble with the fit of my old bike. I needed higher bars and easier brakes. I thought the only solution was to buy a new one with different frame geometry and fancy hydraulic brakes. The mechanics at Dave's listened to what I really needed. They showed me some new bikes, even swapping components to get the fit I needed. And they also showed me how to change the bars and tweak the brakes on my existing bike so it would work for me. I am really impressed by the integrity of the mechanics at this store. From now on they are my first stop when I need a fix or upgrade.

We don't believe in out-of-the-box bicycles. We do believe that one size does not fit all and whether new, used, or custom-built, our bikes are made to fit the needs, goals, and body type of the rider. No formula or chart can tell you what bike is right for you. Come consult with us about your riding goals, budget, and aesthetics and we'll work with you to build a bike you'll never want to get off of.

We have access to many many brand bikes, specializing in a number of Italian brands and those made by local custom frame builders. You never know what unique bike you'll find when you come into our shop, but you will always find something exceptional, including some of our featured brands:
